Cost

£350 – £775

Please email for a quote tailored for your wedding photography. Cost is based on factors like which month of the year and day of the week your wedding is taking place on, as well as the location. All quotes cover up to approx 6 hours of photography, this is flexible though, if you think you need more time please mention it in your email.

For example a midweek Bristol wedding in February would be less costly than a weekend date in the Summer , however I do offer very competitive quotes for weekends , the upper price limit would be quoted for a very large wedding, outside Bristol, that required a great deal of coverage in different locations etc.

Terms

All dates can be secured with a £150 non refundable deposit (either by Paypal or cheque) , with the balance being due 30 days before your wedding. I usually arrange to visit couples to discuss the day a month before the wedding, but I am always happy to visit you before you make a booking.

Service

I offer the popular, high resolution DVD service. After the wedding (approx two weeks) you will receive a copyright free DVD of all your edited and colour balanced for printing images . You are then free to have as many printed as you wish from any High Street or on-line photo lab. Last time I had some printed in Jessops, album size were as little as 15p each, the DVD service really does reduce the total cost.

You can also take your time selecting an album from the 100′s available on the internet , there really is no need to purchase an album from a photographer any more.

Often, on an average wedding , hundreds of photographs are taken . With the DVD system you own them all! That is the great advantage over booking with a photographer that sells an album with a selection of your photos.

Q&A

What are the advantages of having all the images on DVD?

The main reason that most brides decide on an image DVD is because they end up with ALL of the images , I often take hundreds of photos throughout your wedding day , you don’t have to choose which ones you want and leave others behind , they are all yours!

Will you be the photographer on the day or will you send somebody else?

Its just me , so no I will not send another photographer , although I do have a back up plan for emergencies.

How many photos do you take?

There is no limit really, I will take as many as is possible in the time I am with you.

Where can I get my photos printed?

Places like Boots or Jessops are great if you need an assistant to help you along , or you can use an on-line lab like Photo box.

Is it easy to get an album? How much do they cost?

Albums are available in many places ,  there are a full range available for all tastes , just search google for “wedding albums” to see the vast choice available. Alternatively  John Lewis stock them also.

Are the images on the DVD large and do I own all my photos?

Yes, they are full size copyright free images, and you own them all. There is some confusion with some of the terms used on wedding photography websites regarding this.  A  ‘DVD slide show’ is basically something you can watch on a TV or monitor , you cant get photos printed from it in a lab. “Printing rights” means there are contractual terms for what you can and cannot do with your images , for example you could have prints made from a lab, but not display the images on facebook. Finally ‘copyright free’ is when there are no terms to state what you can do with your image files, you own them, they are yours to do with as you please, its just like having the negatives used to be. All my images are ‘copyright free’.

Is is better to book an image DVD photographer like yourself or one that offers albums ?

It all depends on what you want , I find most people who book with me really like the idea of owning all of their images and being able to choose an album themselves from the 1000′s available, rather than 2 or 3 on a photographers website. They like the thought of being able to make an album for Mum & Dad and to be able to get prints made for the family to share out. You certainly don’t have to be a computer whiz to have your prints made either , just pop into a lab like jessops and the staff will help you . Its also a great value way to book your photography as there are no expensive ‘packages’ , or after sales and additional costs after the wedding.
